The future of Food Allergies

Learned recently in class about Food Allergies with Stephan Rechtschaffen

Now-a-days Americans and the world are suffering from a multitude of chronic health issues and diseases. It has been scientifically proven that many conditions, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol, chronic sinuses, fatigue and so many others can be reversed by eating a healthy diet.

Dr. Stephan Rechtschaffen, MD, cofounder of Omega Institute, believes 60-70% of people suffer from food allergies, which can develop at any time. a simple way to determine if you have a food sensitivity. Experimenting with your diet will help you connect more with yourself and your health.

An elimination diet for you to find out if you are allergic to any foods requires that you forego eating a particular food(s) for a certain amount of time to determine how the food is affecting you.  The most common allergenics foods are Milk, Citrus, Wheat, Eggs and Soy.

Avoid this foods for 7 days and see how your body feels.

You will feel lousy or even worse during Days 1-4 because your body is going through withdrawals; Days 5-7 you will feel better.  On day 8 you can introduce milk again for example if you are sensitive to that food, your symptoms will come back automatically. On Day 9 replace the milk with citrus for the day; on Day 10 replace citrus with soy for the day; on Day 11 replace soy with eggs for the day.

Try it with as many foods you want to try and take your doubts of about what you might be allergic to.

Thank you and much love to all,

Harville Hendrix

Today I just want to share and ask everybody to learn more about their relationships.

I think relationships are the vessel where we learn more from.

Harville Hendrix is so amazing, he and his wife Helen created Imago Relationship Therapy and co-founded Imago Relationships International, an international non-profit organization that offers training, support and promotion of the work of 2000 Imago therapists in 30 countries. Harville lectures, offers therapy intensives and workshops for couples internationally.

He wrote this:

Our unconscious need is to have our feelings of aliveness and wholeness restored by someone who reminds us of our caretakers. In other words, we look for someone with the same deficits of care and attention that hurt us in the first place.

So when we fall in love, when bells ring and the world seems altogether a better place, our old brain is telling us that we’ve found someone with whom we can finally get our needs met. Unfortunately, since we don’t understand what’s going on, we’re shocked when the awful truth of our beloved surfaces, and our first impulse is to run screaming in the opposite direction. (from Imago website)

I encourage you to take a look at his website at :

http://www.imagorelationships.org/

In this other article for the Huffingtonpost he talks about zero negativity in a relationships. He says : One way to frame a safe conversation is to start with a statement like “I’m having a hard time with something, and I want to share it with you. Is now a good time to talk?” If it’s not a good time for the other person to hear this, the requester must accept it. But the other person must in turn offer a time he or she would be more open to hearing your concerns. Knowing that you are going to express something critical takes away the element of surprise and defensiveness in the other person, and allows you to state your concern in a thought out, gentle way. It makes it much more likely that they will be willing to compromise and come closer to your side of the fence.

Go Organic!!!

Image

I want to preach here and request you guys to try to be organic.

Alicia Silverstone, Gisele Bundchen, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are some example of people that only eat organic. I think they are a great model of beauty and strength.

Above is foods that should be bought organic for sure because of pesticides and the kind of problems they can create in your body. And we have the other 15 that if your income doesn’t allow you would be ok to buy conventionaly grown.

The real health risks associated with pesticides:

*skin, eye and lung irritation

*hormone disruption

*brain and nervous system toxicity

*cancer

*blood disorders

*nerve disorders

*birth defects

*reproduction effects

In the comments below, let me know what you think about organic foods.
